The Public Health & Technology (PHAT) Forum is a graduate student organization of the Harvard School of Public Health. Our mission is to provide an interactive, cross-disciplinary forum for exploration and and innovation at the intersection of health, information, and technology. Jonathan Payne is a graduate student at the Harvard School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy & Management. Jon's academic focus is the utilization of health information systems to improve population health outcomes and promote economic development. Jon recently worked in Honduras designing the technical specifications for a nationwide orphan case file management system. |

Leo Anthony Celi, MD, MS, is an internist, an intensive care unit doctor, and an infectious disease specialist. After working in New Zealand for 5 years, Leo returned to Boston to pursue a master's degree in biomedical informatics at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology and a master's degree in public health at Harvard University, and a research post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. His current research projects are in the field of artificial intelligence in medicine and mobile health technology in resource-constrained settings. He is one of the founders of Moca, a volunteer organization consisting of students from MIT and Harvard. |

Prerna Srivastava is a graduate student at the Harvard Kennedy School. Prerna recently worked in India and Rwanda as an information flow analyst for rural community health worker (CHW) programs. Her main interest lies in the application of mobile health technology as a means of empowering community health workers to take ownership of the health of their communities. |

Sophie Miller is a graduate student at the Harvard School of Public Health where she is studying Health Policy and Management. She has worked at the University of Chicago Medical Center studying infectious diseases and immunization rates and in Washington DC where she focused on health policy and program evaluation. Sophie currently works at the Global Health Delivery Project for GHDonline. |

Trishan Panch is a medical doctor from the UK with an interest in development of health systems in developed and developing countries and the possibilities for health care improvement through the application of technological innovation. He gained his Medical degree from Imperial College London, has completed specialist qualifications in Primary Care (MRCGP) and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) and worked as a consultant for the World Health Organisation and Oxfam. He is currently studying for a Masters in Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health and is a member of Moca mobile (www.mocamobile.org). Alefiyah Shambhoora is a Masters student in the Health Policy and Management Department and is the President of the Social Entrepreneurs in Health student organization at the Harvard School of Public Health. Her interests lie in the areas of global health technology, social entrepreneurship, and drug/vaccine pricing. She has worked in the pharmaceutical sector for Schering-Plough as a Process Engineer where she was responsible for scale-up and manufacturing of different active drug substances. She also spent a year at Merck & Co. as a Project & Portfolio Manager for Early Stage Drug Development. Alefiyah has also been an active volunteer for Engineers without Borders and ACCION USA. |
